A legend has passed

Frank Frazetta, a living legend and probably one of the best artists of our time, died at the age of 82. One of his most famous (and most copied) works includes the legendary ‘Death Dealer’ which is one of the most impressive works of art I have ever seen.

Several years ago I planned on attending the opening of his own museum together with Dru Blair, but I had to postpone that trip. I learned an important lesson from that. When an extraordinary event happens, don’t let is pass by because you might never get the chance again to experience it.

One of my dreams has always been to meet the ‘master’ and spend some time with him, even if it would only be 5 minutes.

His work will live on forever and so will his artistic spirit. He was, without any doubt, the Michelangelo of our time. As a true master, he was able to use one single, uninterrupted brushstroke to create a masterpiece. Many of his sketches were made that way…. True art lies in the deceiving simplicity which in turn will reveal the genius to those who can and want to see it.
