A legend has passed

Frank Frazetta, a living legend and probably one of the best artists of our time, died at the age of 82. One of his most famous (and most copied) works includes the legendary ‘Death Dealer’ which is one of the most impressive works of art I have ever seen.

Several years ago I planned on attending the opening of his own museum together with Dru Blair, but I had to postpone that trip. I learned an important lesson from that. When an extraordinary event happens, don’t let is pass by because you might never get the chance again to experience it.

One of my dreams has always been to meet the ‘master’ and spend some time with him, even if it would only be 5 minutes.

His work will live on forever and so will his artistic spirit. He was, without any doubt, the Michelangelo of our time. As a true master, he was able to use one single, uninterrupted brushstroke to create a masterpiece. Many of his sketches were made that way…. True art lies in the deceiving simplicity which in turn will reveal the genius to those who can and want to see it.

New stuff!

The second part of the article of Marissa’s self portrait is now done and delivered so watch the next issue of airbrush step by step! Go follow the creation of one of the most amazing works of airbrush art that have ever been made. This magazine is also available in English as well as German.

In the mean time, please have a little bit more patience with the new website (yes, it is still in the running) because it will require some last minute changes. I know it’s long overdue, but I will make up for it somehow as soon as it is online. (with a few extra step by steps maybe?).

Easter egg….

Airbrush step by step magazine just announced that they will from now on also publish their magazine (on paper) in English. Even better yet, their first English issue will be the one with the article/step by step that I wrote about Marissa’s self portrait which is already on sale in German now, so for those who can not read the German version… go get the English one! It should be on the market in one to two weeks.

Since I always write my articles in English, that version will also be accurate from a technical point of view since translation was not necessary.

A nice easter egg for everybody…

Artwork for sale!

Something we have never done before and probably will never do again, but one time only, we decided to sell some of our original artwork for several game covers that we did. More information about which paintings will be released soon, prices will only be revealed for people who show serious interest, because these are true collector items. Each painting comes with a certificate signed by me and Marissa.

If you think this might be something for you, please do not email us yet but leave a message here. We will then contact you personally. Some of the artworks in question are for the game “Great Invasions”, “Stratego Fortress” (published in step by step magazine) and “Around the world in 80 days”

So leave a clear message in the comments section and we will contact you privately.

Stay tuned!
