This faux painting technique called "Frottage" is a handy trick to create a variety of beautiful textures. Next update we will show you how it works.

Untill we make some more permanent changes (see below), this section wil also be used to post links of interesting websites. Not all of them will be airbrush related. A more diverse selection will follow soon and in the mean time we can recommend the following pages:

Airbrush Startpage Europe

The yellow pages of all things airbrush related, worldwide. Click the banner to
go to this page.

The Art Renewal Center

Probably the largest and most impressive museum on the internet. They promote classical and figurative art. A lot of work can be found from one of my favorite artists, William Bouguereau.

A lot of tips on how to maintain and troubleshoot your material are on the agenda for the next update.

What is going on with the tips and tricks?

Nothing much or at least not online, but we have a good reason for that. The entire website will be upgraded and redesigned but this takes time. Therefore, we decided to wait with the new content until the new site can be launched. Why you ask? Well...

Part of the new website will be for members only .

This is going to be a good thing for everybody. We have a lot of information to share but in order to expand, this needs to be done as such that we can manage and cope with the bandwith of the site. Some articles will be very large. For example, the Advanced Airbrush Tuning article alone is more than 35 pages. We are also working on more step by steps and of course also general tips, with large amounts of pictures and explanatory text. For a small fee, you will soon have a choice to gain acces to an interactive password protected area that will hold a large amount of information.

Newsflash!

This members only section will be availlable for free to all our students. Amongst many other things they will be able to ask questions about their work and techniques. More info will follow...

The "Advanced Airbrush Tuning" series which has been published several years ago was treading new ground with regards to clarifying how to improve airbrush performance. An in-depth study explains the processes involved on how to rebuild practically every airbrush into a precision instrument. Documented with detailed macro photo's and 3D illustrations (see pictures below) the series is heading this way. Stay tuned!
