A less formal representation of the Dutch Queen, showing a more personal and private view that reveals more of her character and charisma.

The less formal nature of this painting made it possible for me to utilize a more creative approach with regards to composition and use of color.

Note: I would like to express my gratitude to Photographer Cees Buys. It was one of his beautifull photographs that gave me the inspiration to do this painting. Without his help and permission to use his material as reference, this painting would have been much harder to produce.
