Do you accept commisions? What do I have to do for that and how much is this going to cost me?
If the situation is right, I will accept commisions. Pricing depends on your specific requirements. If you seriously consider having a portrait made from you, or anything else for that matter (the only limit is your imagination), please contact me.

How can I find out more about your techniques? Can I send you a list with questions?
It is impossible for me to answer all the emails that I receive involving questions about my techniques and how to become an illustrator or an artist. There is never a simple answer to any of these questions and there are many different ways to achieve results. If you want to know more about my techniques, please come visit this website on a regular base. The most effective way to find out about my techniques it to follow a workshop.

Do you answer your own email? If I write to you, can I be sure that you will also read my email?
I read all my email, and as far as I can I will always try to answer it myself. Depending on the nature of the message, it is however possible that you receive a reply form someone else. You will know by the signature. If an email is signed with my name, you can also be sure that it comes from me.
I have sent you an email but I never got a reply. What's up with that?
It is possible that the question or information your have asked for is readily available on this website. Also, due to my busy schedule, it can take a while before I am able to send you a reply, in which case I would like to ask you to please be patient.

Can I buy art prints or other prints from you? And how much will this cost me?
Yes, art prints are available. Gicleé's are available as well. This is a six-color process which utilizes state of the art digital techniques to reproduce artwork with the greatest fidelity possible. Print runs will be limited and each print will be numbered, signed and delivered with a certificate of authenticity.

Can I download or use any of the material that is presented on your website and use it on my own website?
Not without my explicit permission. All the material on this website is protected by international copyright law. Occasionally I will grant permission to publish material, but in order to do that you will have to contact me and tell me what you want to use it for.

Can I hire your services for custom painting jobs or body painting?
Nope.

I am typing is different addresses and I keep ending up here! What is going on with that?
This is the first in a row of several websites which will all be involved with the same goal: to promote airbrush art and help spread material and know-how through the internet. As this website starts to grow, content that is not directly related with my own work will eventually be separated and split up under different websites.
It is important to know that, no matter how you got here, the original address of this website, and thus also the one you should bookmark, is: www.marissa-art.com For the time being, the following url's are assigned as aliases that point to this website:

Which projects are you working on?
A lot, and in due time you will be able to read all about them on this website. I am doing portraits, a lot of new faeries are on their way as well, and currently I am discussing some concepts with other people to develop a series of Fantasy art which will be different than what you have seen before.

Are your originals for sale?
I will accept commissions from time to time, but my other artwork is not for sale. Limited edition prints will always be available.

What airbrush are you using?
I work with a custom tuned Iwata Micron SB. These airbrushes are far superior to anything else I have used but on the other hand, be aware that it is the person working the airbrush and not the tool that will dictate the outcome of your artwork.

Can I visit your studio to see how you work?
No. I have more than one studio and all of the places where I paint are private.

What is the secret of your success?
The secret of my success is a magic pencil sharpener shaped like a flower. The petals are erasers and the flower itself is a tiny ventilator that actually works. Pretty cool! (see pictures below)
